We couldn't be more excited to finally be releasing these two gorgeous color versions of John Baizley's ""Phantom Limb"" art print. They will both be available on our online store today, December 3, at 2:00pm Central time. John has quickly become one of our favorite illustrators in the world of heavy rock music, as he has created all of the artwork for his group Baroness as well as album packaging and other designs for groups like Darkest Hour, Kylesa, Pig Destroyer, and more. Stay tuned to our newsletter for updates on more prints from John Baizley coming very soon!

I was home over Thanksgiving and finally got around to snapping some photos of this vintage NY Subway map my Mom, a Brooklyn native, had held on to and then framed and hung up in our house. Maybe having this in our house growing up subconsciously inspired me as a graphic designer. Either way, it's always something I love seeing when I go visit my parents and something I enjoy more and more each time I see it.Click image for larger viewClick image for larger viewClick image for larger view

Last Friday brought the Baroness boys to town. They played a stellar show at the Triple Rock and managed to drop by BRLSQ HQ before hand as well. We put John to work signing his prints, including our version of Phanton Limb which will be going on sale super soon! We'll post images for that momentarily as well. Until then, check out Ben's photoset from the night on his flickr page.

Emilio Ortega, who reads So Much Pileup all the way over in Spain, sent me this fantastic poster image for a Spanish movie from 1969 entitled ""Un Dos Tres, Al Escondité Inglés."" The title is based on a children's game, which is similar to ""Red Light, Green Light.""

Two of our favorite NYC DJs on the move are coming to town this Friday and we're throwing a party for them to drop bass all over your face! Star Eyes blew the roof off of First Avenue at last year's Do it To it party. A member of the red hot Trouble & Bass crew (along with Drop The Lime, AC Slater, and others), she's been spooking up dancefloors with her own unique brand of Haunted House music. Check out her song and video Disappear. Jubilee will be making her Minneapolis debut this Friday. One year ago, she started the monthly Flashing Lights party with Friends-Of-Burlesque DJ Ayres and Nick Catchdubs, where they have converted unassuming dim sum restaurants into makeshift raves with guest DJ spots from Klever, A-Trak, Toadally Krossed Out, and Nadastrom. We love she and Udachi (Trouble & Bass)'s brand new song PAYPUR... alot. Where is...

Just came back from a trip to the middle of nowhere, America and returned with this incredible book of drink recipes from 1967. Written by two wives of Washington DC political power players and illustrated by John Astrop and Eric Hill. One of coolest things I've ever found in a used book store. Here's just a taste of what's inside...Click for larger viewClick for larger viewClick for larger viewClick for larger view

Wezz and I have been in Bloomington-Normal IL for the past few days getting ready for the grand opening of The Screen Printed Work of Burlesque of North America, our largest gallery installation to date. With the indispensable help of the student workers, we've been installing almost 150 posters in the Merwin Gallery at Illinois-Wesleyan University.
Are you in the Central Illinois area? We'll be giving a lecture Tuesday November 10th upstairs from the gallery from 4-5pm, followed by a reception in the gallery until 6pm. Where that afterparty at? Bloomington-Normal, come show us a good time! Let's get it crackin'!
