It's here! We're less than one week away from the start of the 13th annual gigantic music and arts festival in Manchester TN known as Bonnaroo. For the 9th year in a row, we've designed and screenprinted a poster which will be available at the festival merch stands and afterwards in our online store.
From music to camping to arts, there's a little bit of Bonnaroo fun happening inside each of these letters, all designed by our own Mike Davis. The poster was screenprinted in 4 colors on French paper by Sarah Schatz. Can't make it to Bonnaroo this year? Check for it in our online store beginning Tuesday June 17th.
Bonus:
Here's the initial rough sketch we put together to send to the folks behind the festival. Obviously we didn't have the artist lineup yet.

Burlesque-recommended film! If you are at all interested in the art, craft, or trade of hand-painted signs, then we strongly suggest you head over to signpaintersfilm.com to check out the new film from Faythe Levine and Sam Macon. Based on the book of the same name, the documentary covers the techniques, 100+ year history, and personal stories of the world of sign painting. It's an eye-opening and very properly-made film. Watch the movie, read the book, paint some signs!
We were pretty pleased to see Minneapolis' own Forrest Wozniak and Phil Vandervaart making appearances and showing off some of their Twin Cities signs in the film. Anyone living here will definitely recognize a lot of their work!
