Sometimes (most times) I feel blessed to live in Minneapolis. Cuz we get things like this happening.... P.O.S and Building Better Bombs have been playing a string of practice shows this week leading up to Coachella. My friend Erik Westra and my other friends Aesthetic Apparatus started a music and art magazine a few years ago called Ladies and Gentlemen. Two printed issues were produced - each came with a screenprinted cover and a vinyl EP. Here we are in 2010 and LAGMAG is now (wait for it) an online magazine! The crew just posted up a feature on So Much Pileup and my stamp-collecting habit. You can read it right HERE.

Wezz and I were in our building's office waiting to talk with the man in charge (more info on that coming very very soon). I glanced over at his secretary's desk, saw this super groovy dictionary, and snapped a quick photo. Wild stuff, man.

One of my all-time favorite stamps. Designed by the great Lance Wyman, this one commemorates the total solar eclipse of March, 1970, the greatest point of which was visible over Mexico.Do check out more of Lance Wyman's incredible graphic design work.

I was walking around the Austin record convention which was connected to Flatstock during SXSW. Walking primarily in an somewhat bored, trance-like state from seeing the same old same old underwhelming everything's-a-dollar booth, the bootleg Cheap Trick live VHS guy booth, the overpriced Beatles and KISS collectibles booth, and the 80 year old woman with the single crate of dime-a-dozen Bette Midler and Loggins & Messina records which are somehow marked at $20 each, I found myself doing a double-take when I saw what appeared to be vinyl versions of the Si, Para Usted CDs I designed for Waxing Deep Records. Reissued on vinyl by Seattle's Light In The Attic Records, the vinyl just arrived to their offices days before leaving for Austin and when I finally met Josh, who runs the label, he told me I was the first person to grab a pair of the records!
