Last Thursday, a small but powerful showing of our screenprinted gig posters and test prints opened up at the Giant 45 record & clothing store in Calgary Alberta. Some folks stopped through and picked up some posters before heading over to Hifi Club to jam to the sounds of Smalltown DJs & Team Canada DJs.
The show is still running, so if you're in Calgary, be sure to stop by Giant 45 to see it for yourselves!
Crispy vinyl lettering on the front window.
Dudez & posterz
Team Canada DJs: Grand Theft and (BRLSQ's Petey Wheatstraw lookalike) DR-One.
Also, if you'll still be in Calgary on May 15th, come watch me spin at Hifi Club with the gawd DJ Pump as we pay tribute to Guru! All Gangstarr Foundation jams all night! RSVP on Facebook.

My good friend Samantha loaned me this awesome chidren's Hebrew-English dictionary, so I shot a few photos for the blog. I love the simplified but stylized illustrations. Published in 1981, the book features illustration work from Dror Ben Dov, Yossi Gelbart, Alona Degani, and Esther Kurti.Click image for larger viewClick image for larger viewClick image for larger view

As many of you know, artists Alex Pardee and Dave Correia were in our studio yesterday on their Sketch 4 Sketch tour. Driving cross-country to meet artists, exchange art and ideas, and get inspired, the duo along with their trusty camera crew Damen and Steve, worked on an art print with our whole crew. The process was super loose and spontaneous with lots of drawing, splattering, cutting, pasting, and zero use of the computer! Tons of variations - no two are exactly alike!
The prints go on sale Thursday April 22 at 2:00PM on our online store.
$50 each + shipping.
