CO's grand opening

This past Saturday night, after weeks and weeks of sawing, hammering, sanding, painting, climbing, hanging, lifting, pushing, shoving, fine-tuning, sweating, and swearing, we opened the doors to our brand new CO Exhibitions art space. Located in the same 1101 Stinson building as our print studio and the former First Amendment Arts gallery, CO is a 2500+ square foot blank canvas with 20 foot high suspendible ceilings, moveable walls, and more! For our maiden voyage, we invited local rap collective Doomtree to convert CO into a museum of their 8 year history, filling every nook and cranny with concert posters, stage banners, album artwork, concept art, fan art, flyers, doodles, and other memorabilia. The icing on the cake? Live performances from just about every member of the Doomtree crew (P.O.S was in New York performing at the Afro-Punk Festival with our friends Cubic Zirconia).
We can't thank the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul enough for coming out in the hundreds to support our newest endeavour and can't wait to have you all back for the next events we put on here!
Be sure to follow CO on Twitter at @COexhibitions. Also, stay tuned to the BRLSQ site in the coming weeks for all of the exclusive merchandise from Doomtree's ""Wings & Teeth"" opening.
CO Exhibitions is located at 1101 Stinson Blvd at the corner of Broadway & Stinson in beautiful and historic Northeast Minneapolis. We are open weekdays 12-5pm and admission is always free.
Here are a few photos from the opening by Zoe Prinds-Flash (except for the first photo, which I shot).
